Basketball and education

Find out how you could study and keep playing in Asia, with help comparing teams, courses and financial support.

You should know what you will study, who you will play for and what you will need to pay. We help you compare those details and prepare questions for the team and admissions office before you choose a university.

Who is this service for?

Players finishing school or considering a university transfer, and families who want to understand studying and playing abroad. Each university sets its own admission and registration requirements.

How we support you

Choosing a course and team

We look at your games, school results, subjects you enjoy, language skills and intended start date. The options need to work for your studies as well as your basketball.

Speaking with the university

We help you prepare your introduction and questions for the team and international admissions office. Team interest, admission and playing eligibility each need their own confirmation.

Comparing the costs

We go through tuition, housing, meals, personal expenses and any support offered. We ask how long the support lasts and what you need to do to keep it.

Getting ready to go

We use the university’s instructions to prepare an application checklist and clarify arrival, classes and training. We agree in advance on any help after you arrive.

Step by step

  1. Send your basketball details, school status and study interests.
  2. Discuss countries, courses, language and the level you could play at.
  3. Prepare a shortlist and questions for teams and admissions offices.
  4. Compare written admission decisions and support offers.
  5. Plan your arrival with the university once the arrangements are confirmed.

What to prepare for the first conversation

  • Basketball CV, full games and a highlight video.
  • Your graduation or transfer status and the degree level you want.
  • Subjects you would like to study and your language skills.
  • Preferred start date and the budget you and your family can manage.
  • Questions about classes, training and everyday life.

Common questions

Do you only work with Taiwan?

No. We consider suitable university options across Asia. Our Taiwan guides draw on personal experience; each country and school still has its own conditions to check.

Does team interest mean I have a scholarship?

No. A team can be interested before admission or funding is confirmed. Ask the university or funding provider for a written decision about your own support.

Can my family join the conversation?

Yes. We welcome questions from families about the degree, costs, support and living arrangements.
